Where to find your Satisfactory save file
Satisfactory keeps saves as .sav files in the same Windows folder for Steam and Epic: paste the path below into File Explorer, then open the folder named with your account ID.
%LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGamesDedicated server saves
A dedicated server on Windows keeps its saves in a folder called server:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\serverOn a rented server, download the save from your host's file manager, or through the Server Manager in the game.
See what you have left on the map
- Open the map.
- Drag your newest .sav file anywhere onto it.
- Wait while it reads. A 23 MB save takes 15 to 30 seconds on a desktop.
- Tapped nodes and collected items grey out, and Hide done removes them.
The file is read in your browser and never leaves your computer. It uses more than a gigabyte of memory while it reads, so use a desktop browser.
Questions
- Where are Satisfactory save files stored?
- On Windows, in %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames, inside a folder named with your account ID. Steam and Epic use the same path, and the files end in .sav.
- Where are the backups?
- In %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\SaveGames_backup. A backup is made when you overwrite a save yourself, not on an autosave.
- How do I see what I have collected in Satisfactory?
- Drop your .sav file on the Satismaptory map. It greys out the nodes you have tapped and the items you have collected, without uploading the file.
